Sydney loves taking a bath and hasn't cried for a diaper change since her first couple of days
at home. She is growing bigger and stronger and weighed 10 pounds 2 ounces and measured 21 inches long at her
Sydney is now smiling quite freqently. She is such a happy baby. Some of her favorite
things to do are play in her Boppy 5-in-1 while listening to music, smile at Kobie, and of course spend time with her Mommy and Daddy!
Sydney is becoming more and more fun everyday! She goes almost everywhere her Mommy goes.
She is such a sweetie pie and we love watching all of her wonderful changes!
Sydney is growing so fast we just can't believe it! Some of her favorite things to do
right now are play in her exersaucer, watch Kobie play fetch, sit up on laps, put things in her mouth and drool everywhere!
She is now in her 3-6 months clothes and size 2 diapers, what a big girl!! She had her first laugh at 3.5 months and
is laughing every day now!
Sydney is getting bigger and bigger everyday! She had a blast dressing up like a honey
bear for her first Halloween. She smiles at everyone and loves to make "animal noises! She is becoming such a
Sydney has been busy helping Mommy and Daddy pack up their house and get ready to move.
She started working on sitting up at Thanksgiving and by just a couple of weeks later was doing it on her own! She is
no longer content laying on her back or belly for playtime! If she is on her back, it isn't for long because she has
finally discovered that she can roll over! She rolled over for the first time somewhere around 3 months but now we see
her do it all the time! She has tried some solids now (rice cereal, carrots and sweet potatoes) but isn't interested
in eating them yet. We have been told that many big changes will be coming our way soon!
Sydney has had many big events take place during this month. She had her 6 month appointment,
weighing in at 15 pounds 5 ounces. A few days after that she helped with the last of the packing and took off with Mommy,
Daddy and Kobie to move into their new house in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She got all settled into her new room there and
just a few days later celebrated her first Christmas. She had a blast opening her presents and especially loved chewing
on the wrapping paper! After that she celebrated her first New Year's Eve and was able to bring in the new year with
lots of friends and family. She is trying really hard to crawl but isn't quite able to get up onto her knees.
She can scoot backwards now, but isn't very happy about this because she wants to go forward instead! This month has
been a pretty hectic month for our family but Sydney didn't let it phase her a bit.
This month has been an exciting one for Sydney! After having mastered
getting up on her knees for a few days, Sydney has finally become fully mobile! She is crawling all around and
her favorite places to visit include the entertainment center, the heat registers, any nearby cords, and of course her brother,
Kobie! She is saying da da, ma ma, and sometimes ba ba (bottle). She also waves and claps. Her world
has become a whole new adventure and it is so exciting to watch her explore it. This month she also made a
visit to the doctors office for a cough and weighed in at 16 pounds and 2 ounces.
This has been another fun month for Sydney. She is not only crawling everywhere, but
she is also cruising the furniture too! She is having a great time exploring any and all objects that can be found on
chairs, tables, ledges, and especially her changing table! She loves playing at the indoor playcenter at a
nearby mall and really enjoys crawling/cruising around and watching the other kids play there. She has also been eating
a LOT since she has been burning so many calories from all of her exercise! Her favorite foods are mommy's milk, rice
cereal with fruit, and peas!
Sydney had her 9 Month appointment at the beginning of this month and weighed in at 16 pounds
14 ounces being 26 inches long. She is climbing up the stairs now and can stand on her own for a few seconds.
We are thinking that it might not be long before she is walking! She has also added two words to her vocabulary this
month: book and dog! This month we are getting ready for yet another move so Sydney has also been helping with
packing. She is a busy girl these days!
This has been a very busy month for Sydney! She moved from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Ossian,
Indiana in April. Less than 2 weeks after she moved she took a trip with Mommy and Grandma Milton to Tunica, Mississippi.
She had a great time on the trip and was able to visit 5 new states. She has gotten one new tooth and is working on
three other ones. She has taken one baby step on her own and seems to be close to walking! What a big girl!!
Sydney is now walking!! She still crawls more than walk (crawling is faster!) but she
can walk and really thinks she is big stuff for doing it! At 11 months 1 week, Sydney weighed exactly 18 pounds and
she has 6 teeth (2 lower, 4 upper). She has been spending her time swimming, playing with friends and even joined
a reading club this month (Wee Readers). She plays peek-a-boo (hides behind objects or covers her eyes) claps,
waves, dances, kisses, loves (hugs), and points to her ears, eyes, nose, tongue and toes.
This year has gone incredibily fast for all of us. It has been a busy time with all of
the moves and changes we have made. Sydney has forever changed the lives of her Mommy and Daddy and we couldn't
be happier about it.
Now that Sydney is a year old we will do our best to continue to keep the site updated however
we will likely do season pages for the 4 seasons or bi-monthly pages rather than monthly pages.
Thank you Sydney for being the wonderful blessing that you are!
We Love You!!!
